Studio Salt is a fully equipped premium photography & film studio located in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Uniquely oversized proportions mean it’s versatile and multi-purpose.

The vast, private space (hire of the studio gives you exclusive access in its entirety) is well appointed with both a test kitchen and a shooting kitchen set. There’s also a 8x8m corner cyclorama as well as the capacity for large-scale access (so oversized items like furniture or a vehicle can enter the premises easily).

Plus, generous square footage and an 8m ceiling height allows the space to easily accommodate a crew of any size.

Our new lighting truss system features four robust half-ton motors, allowing for unified operation as a system or split seamlessly into two separate 6-metre box trusses.

Shoot kitchen

Our kitchen serves as the perfect film or photography set with its spacious layout and versatile design. Spanning 5m in size, it features a stunning combination of white and wood in a modern aesthetic, creating a sleek and inviting atmosphere.

The centerpiece of the kitchen is a 3m rolling island bench, providing ample space for food preparation and creating dynamic shots. Equipped with essential appliances such as an oven, fridge, and an induction stove top, every cooking scenario can be effortlessly captured.

The strategically placed return wall allows for versatile angles and shots, ensuring a wide range of visual possibilities. Moreover, the kitchen offers plenty of room for lighting setups, enabling optimal illumination and enhancing the visual appeal of any scene. prep kitchen

In conjunction with our film or photography set kitchen, we have a dedicated prep kitchen that seamlessly complements the main set.

The prep kitchen is equipped with stainless steel benches, providing a clean and professional workspace for culinary preparations. It features two Smeg ovens, allowing for simultaneous cooking and baking, ensuring efficient production schedules.

The induction stovetop and microwave offer additional cooking options, while the dishwasher makes cleanup a breeze. To accommodate large-scale productions, an industrial fridge and freezer are available to store ingredients and keep them fresh.

This prep kitchen ensures that all culinary needs are met, providing a seamless workflow and enhancing the overall efficiency of any film or photography project.
